On May 26, 2008, our daughter Heather who lives in Brookfield, Nova Scotia, graduated with Academic Honours at Dalhousie University with Bachelor of Health Science (Distinction), receiving the Health Science Faculty Award and the Radiologists' Award (Radiological Technology) as student with the highest cumulative GPA.

Heather is currently employed as a Radiological Technologist at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, Nova Scotia and the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

On June 26, 2008, our son Dale who lives in Ottawa, Ontario, graduated from Canadian Forces Command and Staff College in Toronto, Ontario. A pilot and instructor in the Canadian Forces (Air Force) he was stationed at CFB Greenwood, Nova Scotia, where he flew the CP-140 Aurora in its role in maritime surveillance until 2000 when he was posted to National HQ in Ottawa. He will continue to work in Ottawa.

On April 2, 2008, CBC's The National profiled the College in a documentary called The New Military Mindset. Dale can be seen in the documentary in a couple of places.
